Indications

1. conservative treatment of pronounced unilateral, medial or lateral osteoarthrosis and arthritis of the knee
2. permanent care where surgery is contra-indicated
3. interim care until decision has been taken on possible surgical procedures such as correction osteotomy or knee joint replacement
4. for weight-bearing relief after surgery for medial or lateral fractures of the tibial head

Mode of action

1. correction of the lateral or medial joint space by the 3-point principle
2. pain relief by reducing weight-bearing on the affected side of the joint
3. decreases further capsule irritation/synovitis
4. protection, stabilization, pain relief and restoration of mobility.

Features

1. 1. individually adjustable varus and valgus angles with a low profile joint; during the course of treatment the varus/valgus angles can be readjusted according to the healing process
   2. pneumatic condyle pads for additional pressure distribution complement on the joint (using the hand-pump supplied)
   3. very light construction and easy to put on
   4. limitation of extension 0º, 10º
   5. frame is made of new Avional® aluminium
